Dublin User Conference Update



The well-attended Alphatax Dublin User Conference 2009 took place at the Shelbourne Hotel on 1 October 2009.

Speakers covered the following key features:

  • Finance Act (No. 2) 2008 and 2009 updates to the software including relief for start-up companies, preliminary tax, residential land dealing losses and the new intangibles regime (Daran Gibney, Niall Sweeney and Tim Duggan)
  • System enhancements including improvements to footnotes and email notifications (Daran Gibney and Tim Duggan)
  • Accounts Integration and Accounts Analysis (Daran Gibney)

After the conference, there was an opportunity to talk with peers over a drink and canapes and time to enjoy the sumptuous atmosphere of the Shelbourne while looking out on a damp Autumn afternoon in St Stephen's Green.
