Divisional Consolidation

Many groups of companies operate a divisionalised structure, and with changes in tax legislation, this trend is continuing. Historically, preparing computations for divisionalised companies has been a complex and laborious task. The Alphatax Division Consolidation function meets this demanding need and provides a full audit trail back to individual divisional data.

The Division Consolidation function works by allowing the user to create a master computation and specify the divisions which are part of the company. Individual schedules and entries can then be assigned as being specific to a particular division if required. Separate computations are then automatically created that relate to each division.

The computational data for each division can then be entered in the normal way – either manually or by using the Alphatax Tax Pack or Accounts Integration functions to benefit from a greater level of automation throughout the entire tax computation process. Alphatax is then able to consolidate individual divisional computations to produce the tax computation for the statutory entity. A full audit trail is maintained in the statutory computation of the divisional data and its sourcing. The Division Consolidation function works seamlessly with both standard and user created schedules and contains a number of administration tools to enable divisions to be merged.
