Increased support levels for the end of year rush

At the end of the year Tax Computer Systems receives around two and a half times the normal level of support calls. Accordingly the company always increases staff levels across each of their support teams to ensure that support coverage remains at our consistently high level. The aim is to ensure that clients always meet their deadlines and the company always welcomes calls from client.

In November to December 2009, the company received just under 3000 support calls - almost 13% more than for the same period in 2008. Of these calls around 94% were resolved within 1 day compared to last year where the figure was 89.5%

As the mandatory online filing deadline looms closer, the support teams reported a significant increase in the proportion of calls relating to e-filing. The company is pleased to confirm that the next release of Alphatax, scheduled for Spring 2010, will be fully XBRL-enabled.
