Report Writer

Using a range of selection criteria, the Report Writer function enables the rapid design of ad hoc and repeatable preconfigured reports. These reports can encompass the entire set of companies and periods held within the data repository.

Report Writer allows the selection of both inputs and key computed results. The reports themselves can be used for a variety of purposes, including tests for any specific issues that have been identified as potential opportunities or risks. They can also be applied to assessing the effectiveness of workload management of an entire tax department – or of specific individuals. The reports can highlight bottlenecks or can report on issues that require urgent attention.

Because the Report Writer function allows design on an individual basis, each report directly reflects a very specific set of circumstances and needs. Report Writer is very easy to use and does not require any knowledge of the underlying database. Reports can be made even more flexible through the use of run-time parameters entered by the user to tailor the report to their specific needs.

For Alphatax Enterprise there is also the ability to create more complex SQL queries to extract data from the Enterprise database. Through the use of the Tax Data Warehouse, this process is extremely quick and efficient and permits easy integration with other systems. As a result, it is possible to display Alphatax compliance status information and computed values on a corporate intranet.
